Our Story

Angy’s Books is an independent book imprint committed to publishing children’s books that make a difference. It is based in San Diego, California.

Angy’s Books started around the beginning of the pandemic. My husband was laid off, and we had to leave our home. Thankfully, our family took us in.

Nonetheless, our two-year-old sensed our stress, which affected his sleep. It took up to three hours for him to settle down and drift off to sleep. Despite our bedtime routine of bath time, reading, and singing, nothing worked. In the dark, frustrated, and exhausted, I invented bedtime stories. My son immediately found comfort in my stories. He no longer needed three hours; he needed half an hour to fall asleep. I quickly realized the stories I created gave me hope and joy. With the inspiration to bring about the same feelings in others, I turned my stories into children’s books. They are filled with inspirational messages of self-love, empathy, emotional acceptance, and understanding.

NICU Books for Preemies

Children’s Book Library in Davie, Florida, NICU

Angy’s Books joins Dr. Daphna Yasova Barbeau to support our community’s most fragile babies hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Books are collected to stock the NICU library for families and their preemies.

Books for Preemies

Reading to babies in the NICU benefits infants and parents. Research shows that reading stories aloud develops the bond between parent and child, reduces parental stress, soothes babies, and also promotes brain development and language skills. Help parents read to their babies and share a beautiful, soothing bond.

Donate books to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Order books by independent authors from our Amazon Wish List or mail new/gently used children’s books to our NICU location: University Hospital, NICU, 3rd floor, 3476 S University Drive, Davie, FL.
